Tag As FavoriteComment		This was the original sketch for 'The Lovers.' It originally had no violent overtones. It was merely a study of the breadth of human love. There are histories behind each of these characters - lifetimes of pain and rejection, even by themselves. But now they have found each other, and for now...things can be accepted. If you think there are political overtones to this piece, you're correct. I believe that there is nothing wrong with homosexual love, when it truly deserves the name. I hope that no-one is too offended, but if you are, I'm not sorry. Actually, judging from the comments other shonen-ai pictures have received on these boards, I don't think I need to worry about close-mindedness. But you never know...

I agree anonymous haters are cowards! ps the anonymous not far above this comment thinks only straight sex is natural. sex is natural. who cares beyond that. did you know its even natural in a bunch of animals? if you look it up there's a top ten or whatever list of gay animals, and some of them are very common. so ha!
ps I'm straight but what's the distinction?

when i saw this pic, i was confused for a sec, why would you offend people? Sheesh, nobody can be accepting of other’s differences. Everybody has to be NORMAL, when who really knows what normal is? I don’t, do you?

A truly stunning piece. It is very moving, whether you see the figure to the right as a man or a woman. I honestly think that it doesn’t matter which gender they are. I believe that love this strong has the power to touch anyone, regardless of their feelings about homosexuality. It is the sign of a true master that they can transcend people’s conceptions and move them anyway. It only saddens me that so much anger, on both sides, can be spurred by images like this, and that posting becomes something of a public forum for argument over open-mindedness.

Does anybody else think it is sort of silly, that some people can except giant cyborg badgers and brown centuarpeds (my word for part centuars part centapedes) yet can’t except a picture of two people who love each other?
This is a beautiful peice of artwork!
