| 4 Jul 2003 | Aaron | This is a great gallery, your faceless elementals convey a strong sense of character without the use of facial expression. The weapons and stances of your characters really give me a sense of the element they represent. Your water character uses seduction to draw her prey in close and attack with a dagger at close range, just like the ripples in a pond will mesmerize the onlooker and hide the danger beneath. Your fire elemental has the stance of a dancer, paralleling the dance of an open flame, while your earth character lies in wait like moss on a stone. Keep up the impressive work, I hope to see more soon. M. A. Brand replies: "Cheese...thank you, Aaron. I'm happy that someone else is reflecting the feelings I had as I drew them. I'm so glad that you like them!" | |
| 6 Jul 2003 | DevilDiva | Good job Melly! ^_^ Lemme know when you get more pictures on here. (Such as the raven one if you ever did that) M. A. Brand replies: "Thanx, Diva, for reminding me about the Raven! I don't know if it's quite Elfwood material, but if I scan it, I'll e-mail you a copy." | |
| 10 Jul 2003 | Telorand | Orenya panta len, Menelom! Elen sila carnelyannar!! I love it all, especially the Water Warrior, but then, I've always loved elemental water above the others anyway. By the way, Arluin believes you should improve your self-portrait... Continue to grace us with your beautiful works! Namarie, Menelominya. M. A. Brand replies: "(Alcarin Quenya) Aiya! Laita a' Telorandtur. I am glad that you love my work. Wait until "Feaedhil Nar Oisanda" gets put up. It'll probably be in my Sci Fi section first, but I'll make a variation for here in Lothlorien. And I will put up an actual picture of myself once I find one that I like. Namarie, Telorandnil." | |

| 19 Feb 2004 | Iris Ayers | you can do some crazy cool things with crayons O.O *flips through her Disney Coloring book* ... *sigh* -.-' Anywho... This is what i like to see with people that enjoy anime. It has a touch of it, but you still have your own unique style that slips through and shows very, very well. It's quite perfect actually. Faceless people is a good thing to draw. One ya don't have to bother drawing the darn thing (heh.. im lazy) And it gives more mystery to the figure. Kind of reminds me of the old Dutch dolls with no faces... *itches her head* They used to scare me as a child....... | |
