After I amazed myself by crosshatching a sketch for the first time in years on my Modest fairy pic, I decided to give it another try. This time a body study from the front, female obviously, no model. She's a nymph of some sort (note pointy ears). Turned out pretty well, I think. Pencil sketch, with the color changed in Photoshop.

Hi Neighbor!! (**first comment dance**) You are very good, you have enough detail to please and give the feeling of realism, the untold story lines ... very nice. Keep up the good work! Thanks! Colorado Elfwooders, they do exist!

Aw Missy! That's what I look like when I take a shower!
No, I'm just messing with ya.
For reals though, this is really beautiful! I like how she still has one hand on the rock and the other one is letting the cool water slip through her fingers. Oddly enough, I caught myself striking this pose in the shower before I drew this, but it doesn't look like me either, and consequently, I don't have a rock that size in my shower.

This is really beautiful
I hope you keep on going with this cross-hatching
your excellent at it!
I really thing she's beautiful, but another thing that caught my eye was the wonderful shape of the rock, i love how you suggested the form with simple curved lines
You are very talented! Thanks! I'll be using this technique in the future, at some point.

Extremely nice shading, particularly on the lady. Her near leg bothers me, though. I'm pretty sure her knee and hip shouldn't rotate in quite that way. Minor quibble that I doubt anyone else is going to notice, however.

Gorgeous nymph, lovely shading but the water is the coooollest. It looks so real and splashy(if thats a word) but u know what i mean. Its really realistic and the small waves are reaally well done.

WOW...cross-hatching can be a beautiful touch, when used properly (and trust me, you've more than used it to it's fullest possible potential XD)...fantastic! That's about all that can be said XD
