Fear the cuteness! This is what happens when I see what a baby miniature burro looks like. Strange looking creatures really, they've got these enormous heads and ears and knobbly knees, and everything else is small. Just mind-bogglingly cute. So I gave it a horn, something to chew on and an innocent until proven guilty expression, then did a CG inking experiment in Photoshop. Worked pretty well. (May 2003)

Doesn't look like it's really happy about his cuteness

Burro - "Give me a break, all ready. Sheesh. I'm as mean and vicious as the next equine."

This is the cleanest looking piece I think you have in your gallery, very professional looking. Also, he has a grand expression. Though, have you tried sparing yourself the headaches of doing such flat areas in Photoshop and trying Illstrator and its ilk? Heh, well, to put it simply, I didn't do it in Illustrator because I hate the program. A lot of people (including my Mom, who's a graphic designer) have told me the same thing, but I have had absolutely no luck producing anything even remotely worth saving in Illustrator. I find it a much more difficult program than its worth. But that's just me. I did this in in Photoshop partly to prove that you can in fact produce something that looks like a bit like vector art with it as well. And partly just because I needed to get something obscenely cute out of my system.

Hee hee, it's nice to know I'm not the only one who's been affected by miniature donkeys! Very cute. ^__^

I looked up your gallery again to show it to a friend, and was enraptured by the cuteness. Most of the unicorns I draw tend to end up rather donkeyish anyway, so it's nifty to see that idea carried to an extreme. Very nice linework; I love the little unicornling's thoughtful expression (which is going to turn very surprised if he takes a swat at that bee). The figure seems subtly off-balance, though, like it's leaning to the right. Maybe because the feet are so close together? Or possibly because my head is on crooked?
