This... seemed appropriate. I have had this in my head for some time but it took a very unfortunate event in the world to make me put it down on paper. This is Death's steed, an ancient and immortal servent to his master, ridden hard and always at work. Yesterday, September 11, 2001, he was forced to work very hard. Today, I felt he should be resting. This is done in prismacolors on black card stock, and dedicated to the memory of everyone who died without reason yesterday.

whoa. this has been done really well, and it wasnt just a random excuse for gruesome art - it is on a subject that actually matters. very well done.

Great capture of emotion in the detailing and coloring of the picture as well as the steed's facial expression. An intriguing rememberence. Let us hope that Death's Steed can rest more often then be worked so hard again.

Wow, you really captured the emotion in this. I like the discworld version of Death's stead better though. Binky is the coolest and most well taken care of horse Death could ask for.

Oh, it's good that that terrible event had a little pretty result - though it seems rather heartless writing it... But, hm, I still remember that day very clearly, I even remember it was Tuesday, I came from basketball training to the middle of radio news and it all seemed to be like bad dream, bad joke... All the time I listened to it I wished it was really only dream. And I had to speak about news the day after it at school and all my classmates knew more about it, because I had been on that training... I felt terribly, I only knew something unbelievable happened and I had to speak about it... Sorry for this. Horrible memories. Nice picture. Works really well on that black paper.

I have been trying to draw a pic like that for the logest time, it has so much feeling and emotion is amazing.
It really "tuches" me, I love it.
Extoderny (sorry bad spelling!) work.

A very, very sad story behind this wonderful drawing. But I agree, the horse isn´t bad....only the humans are the bad ones..the horse does his job only...a very sad job.... I saw the pic before I read your words...and I thought it would be a horse of death..then I read your words and I almost started to cry... the 11. September 2001...what a very, very sad day...so much people died without any reason...I can remember that that exactly..I can remember the moment I heard about it the first time.... a very good piece of art to remember....very well done!

Such a lovely idea; especially as that day means so much to so many people. Really well drawn.
