Mette Krangnes

Mette is a 20 year old Norwegian girl who's currently studying art, loves anime (especially Slayers and Inu Yasha) and to draw ^_^

Updated May 2004: Hi there and welcome to my little part of the forest! The name's Mette Krangnes, and I'm a 22 year old girl from Norway. I've been very fond of drawing most of my life, but there was a period during my first years as a teenager that I replaced my pencils with musical instrumnets, like the bassoon and the trombone. I certainly lost a lot due to that, and I noticed that when I began drawing again early 99 during my first year at 'videregående' (The Norwegian form for high school) when I stumbled onto the internet. Soon I had build my own Disney page devoted to the Hercules movie by Disney, and about one and a half year later I started my own art page, now known as Mette's art. I mainly specialize in anime and fantasy nowadays, but I also do portraits, art commissions, posters and other work I get. The mediums I use are pencils, ink, pastell chalks, Tria markers, colouring pencils, acryllic paints, oil paints, ceramics and of course my computer! The programs I use are Adobe Photoshop 7.0 and Painter Classic, and I have a wacom tablet. I honestly don't know why I didn't buy one earlier, I never use the mouse anymore! The art here in the fanquarter section is mostly from anime I watch. My fav animes are Inu Yasha (Long live Sesshoumaru-sama!), Slayers Trigun, Fruits basket, Fushigi Yuugi, Rurouni Kenshin, Ranma 1/2, Now and then here and there, Spiral and Gravitation. I prefer humour and fantasy in an anime, Slayers and Inu Yasha are my favs so far. Please give me comments and crits on my art, feel free to visit my homepage for more!
