| 16 Jan 2006 | Lynsey 'MukLuk' Freeman | Sorry I haven't commented in a while. When I was ready to put my story online, my dog turned my floppy disk in to a chew toy. Now it's lost forever... *sob* In reply to your last comment: *sigh* The first one was for alikeness with some other story... I don't think it should count if I haven't read it. Maybe I did and just don't remember... *sigh* Raoul Meuldijk replies: "Story eaten by the dog... Rejected by the moderators for a reason that's valid for almost any story unless you're a complete literary genius... I have been checking to see if your site got on-line and feel sorry for the troubles. But please try to recollect your eaten story (that can make a story all by itself!), and rewrite the reject a bit - the next moderator may not be so picky. I had some trouble getting my first stuff on the site for silly reasons as well, and most Elfwooders I have met have similar experiences. Keep submitting new or updated stuff." | |
| 9 Feb 2006 | Patricia M. D“Angelo | Thanks for stopping by my art gallery. My cave painting is my favorite one. You mentioned that you had tried drawing one. I was hoping to find you had an art gallery too. I would have liked to have seen it. I'm off to check out a few of your stories. I noticed you have Atlantis in one. One of my favorite subjects. That is what my chapter story revolves around. Raoul Meuldijk replies: "Thanks for your extensive visit! My art classes don't involve SF/F, so I can't put it on Elfwood. But I'll send you a photo of it by mail." | |
| 24 Feb 2006 | Christabel Nolan | Ooooh!!! Alchemical experiment? How exciting. Is it exciting? or just like 'hum-de-dum, more alchemical experiments today...' ? Man, I might have to actually read some of your stuff now, instead of hovering listlessly on your main page. What would you like me to start with? Raoul Meuldijk replies: " well, it involved constructing this transparent vial with an energy capacitor, and then filling it with raw magic, so my body would be sped up and hurled through the magic barrier that enclosed our village. However, the picture was taken a moment after I had filled the vial with whisky, which sped my body up and hurled me onto the magic barrier, which quite hurt. Turned out I needed a colleague's barrier-weakness-detector and a witch's dematerializing robe. What makes my main page more interesting than the stories that it keeps you there? I would like you to start with whatever of the stories that are outlined in my bio, appeal to you." | |
| 24 Feb 2006 | Christabel Nolan | Is that a raincoat you wear? Or is it some strange ritualistic killing robe? No offence intended.. .... gees I'm tactless. Raoul Meuldijk replies: "Your sense of self-insight is impeccable. It is an official Yellow Order Monks robe of the Demsterkloof monastery. The Yellow Order are the more practical people compared to the always-babbling and meditating White Order, as is made clear by the toolbelt and the painful look on my face after a failed alchemical experiment." | |
| 25 Feb 2006 | Christabel Nolan | Either whiskey equates to raw magic, or you made a very silly mistake. Raoul Meuldijk replies: "Indeed that was the moment that, contrary to popular belief, I found out that whisky is not raw magic." | |
| 8 Apr 2006 | Kelsey Van Horn | Thank you for commenting at my gallery! And I like your writings a lot. I have no critiques to give that haven't already been given, it would seem. ^__^ Your scifi stories are good, but I find the silly ones like "Horse and Carrot" all too amusing. Greetings from a half-Dutchie! ~DL Raoul Meuldijk replies: "And thank you for the return visit! Always good to hear you enjoyed my site. Dankjewel!" | |
| 17 Jan 2007 | Marika Viklund | Hi Raoul! Long time no see! How's life? I have acctually an update on the way... believe it or not! Only took a few years! It should be up in 2-3 days (according to the mod's lock on my ticket)! I'd appreciate if you'd come by and take a look at the story and tell me what you think! You give good critic and are a good writer! Raoul Meuldijk replies: "As you've seen I read it And now I finally have a new piece up as well!" | |
| 22 Jan 2007 | M. DalaneAurelaPhen Abdou | hey I thought I would drop by to tell you that I have finished the story if you want to read it. Raoul Meuldijk replies: "Thanks for coming! I read the next 'Roses' chapter on your shelf." | |

| 2 Apr 2008 | Jacob Bowdin | You have some very entertaining stories up here, I will have to return and do some more looking about... congrats on getting a MC by the by, shiny objects are always nice. Raoul Meuldijk replies: "Thanks for visiting and reading so many of my stories! I’ve been drawing more than writing lately, so I should get back to writing to put more up." | |
