She has come from somewhere unknown, standing among the opening in the ruins.  This piece was created using watercolor and colored pencil on 300lb watercolor paper completed in November 2005.

This is absolutely lovely. I really admire your work. I'm just starting to get into watercolors. Do you have any advice for a beginner?

I agree. Nice wings and skirt. She's very beautiful. Does she have a name?

I also like the background. I know a place that kinda looks like that not too far from where I live, I imagine her visiting a former city that was levelled, either by nukes or by dragons...or perhaps a dragon who caught indigestion swallowing an A-bomb! *laughing*

You've got quite a few great watercolour paintings in your gallery, but I particularly like this one. The colouring on the wing tips is lovely. And for some reason I quite the inclusion of the little white stars on her dress.

She’s beautiful! I love her face and her hair as well as the flowers in it. To me the picture looks like she was cursed into being a tree (that’s sort of what the bottom of her skirt looks like) and she is waking up after a long sleep and coming to life to find her city in ruins. It’s captivating.
