She is an interpretation of one who would be 'raised from the earth to defend the earth'.

Wonderful black and white design.

I love the ink work! And the thorns are excellent...a beautiful black and white choreography going on there...there's something about the woman that seems odd however. I find her a bit blocky...or perhaps it's her expression which seems to say, "Gah! I slipped on this cheese danish, and now it's squashed to my butt!"

Neato... Must have taken a while to make, eh? It's very well done.

Liselotte, it took me a week to design the picture, then another week to colour it in black ( with a 0.3 fineliner - eek! Train, TV, Work, anywhere! I would be colouring the durn thing) >2

The eyes look like they are too far up on her face... but other then that... i like the detail. This is the most detailed of all your pics. Makes it stand out a bit.

Her lips seem to kind of be taking over her face, but that little detail is besides the point because the design on this is wonderful! I love the vines, especially when they start wrapping around her legs like they do. Its such a nice peice, I really love it!

The hours spent using the fine liner were worth it

I like the brightness of the picture, the moon looks very bright but it looks like the earth is trying to hold her down more than let her defend it because she looks a little stiff with those vines around her legs, I have no problem with the face but the sword looks way too big for her tiny arm. But still I like it, it's very stark and real.
