Art and army do seem very different, but that’s not a bad thing if you ask me. Having new and different experiances can only enrich your life, which makes for better art! I have a friend who is a wonderful artist, but he went into the airforce as a career, so I think it’s cool! Heh, anyway, I’m running on... thanks for chatting with me. Michelle Tolo replies: "Yeah, I think the army can be really enjoyable if you get into the section you want. I love art, it’s my passion, but I also love to be out in the forests and mountains. In the army I will get the chance to do just that, as well as learning to take care of myself, and I want to become as independant as possible . If I’m independent in life, I’m also independent in art, so maybe that can enrich my creativity! I’ve never been much of a mainstream person anyway .
It’s always fun to chat with new people, I enjoy it very much ."

Wyverns are a very unusual breed
With an arm count of only two
But wyverns, I guess, are still very cool
I don’t know about you
Wyverns, playing in the sea
Wyverns, playing in the sky
They breathe out flames of orange and red
In some occasions, people don’t know why
With scales and tails and bat-like wings
You might think they’re no different than most
But if a wyvern heard you saying that
You’d become a human roast!
I like the last two sentences. Michelle Tolo replies: "Hehe, the colouring just didn’t get the way I wanted it to, and that’s why I was very unhappy with it. I’ve learnt to live with it now, though!
And thank you again for a lovely poem! You know what I think? I think you really should get yourself an Elfwood account, and start pubilshing your poems! Really, you are so good at it, so why not show your talent to the world? "
| 27 Jul 2010 | Krusnik | Loading...Thanks for the suggestion! I would love people to read my poems, but I feel that it’s better if someone else shared them. I’m too shy to make anything out of myself, but you’ve got a promising future! Michelle Tolo replies: "I know exactly how you feel about the shyness: I’ve always been a rather quiet person in crowds, and I hate standing in front of lots of people (having presentations is the worst thing a teacher can ever ask me to do!). But that doesn’t keep me from sharing my artwork: Internet is a great place to show what you are capable of, without having to feel awkward in front of people .
So, are you willing to confront your shyness and give your poems a chance to shine in the glory of your personal Elfwood gallery? "

Oh and congratulations on the mod! It’s well earned! Michelle Tolo replies: "Thanks! It’s not so easy to see in this pale scan, but in the original painting, the water in the background is totally messed up. This was the first Mod’s Choice I ever got, several years ago. I can still remember how I felt my heart beat like crazy when I saw the golden star! "
