Well, I aspire to write, maybe practice medicine. Who knows. I'm hoping to pursue something of the academic bend. As far as art goes, it's something I used to produce religiously, back when I was "the artist" in high school. Now, I still dabble in it occasionally, but I'll admit, it's not very often I take an art project through to the end. I'm somewhat self-critical about it, so usually about halfway through I'll get frustrated and quit. I think Freud might have something to say about that. (c:

Anyway, when the blue moon rises and something does come out of the end of my pencil, I'll drop it off here. The encouragement and positive feedback I get here means so terribly much to me. If there's a solid reason for why I ever flip open the ol' sketch pad, it's because you folks around here always manage to make me feel so good about it. Thank you.

Hi J.R.! Nice "chicken scratchings" (inside joke between J.R. and myself ;-). this a beautiful, fun, imaginative and simply fantastic little gallery. Can you please explain to me why you would think that your work is somehow inferior to mine (or anyone else's, for that matter)? Your images are a bit like Anime meets Patrick Woodroffe meets Art Nouveau, but you have succeeded in creating your own look. Your art is filled with movement and feeling and fun and life. Have you considered doing some pen & ink work (on a good quality inking paper or illustration board)? I recommend that you get Borden & Riley 'Paris Bleedproof Paper for Pens'. Lightly sketch with a 2B pencil and then try the Pigma MICRON pens. They are a hard felt tip pen that come in a variety of tip sizes. Then erase any graphite with a General's Kneaded Rubber eraser (a regular eraser will damage the surface of the paper). If I can help in any way, please let me know. You have an excellent thing growing here and this style will make a wonderful illustrated story book by you some day, soon. And no more disparaging remarks by you about your art . With the right materials, you have professional quality art that has nothing to do with "Chicken Scratch" ;-). I look forward to seeing a published book written and illustrated by you. Excellent work, I really want to see more.

Thank you for being the first to comment on my work ^^, it is a real honour to be complimented by you. Your work is great. I love your attention to detail and your style, as someone else has mentioned, truly unique. I'll comment on some of the pictures individually as well. Great work, keep it up.

Your work is full of interesting little details, often has elaborate frames and backgrounds, and is subdued in the use of color. Your style is the opposite of mine, in a lot of ways. I envy you the way you make it look easy to do the things I find hard.

Thanks for your comment in my gallery, BTW.

You're quite talented. I think you should upload more work and color those line works. 2 I just wanted to thank you for your comment on Kindred Spirits. If it's alright with you, I want to add it to my testimonials page along with a link to your gallery when I update my website. Have a nice day! ~Kat

I adore your gallery. So sweet with a sexy touch, never vulgar. *cheers* I hope you will put some colors in your sketches, I think they could be some kick ass pictures!

You left a comment on *um* someones profile saying about a novel about a girl with blue strands of hair.. You most likely don’t care as it IS in fact aimed at kids, but I think it was called ’The Fairy Rebel’ by Lynne Reid Banks. As I said, you don’t care, but it always bugs me when there’s something like that and I can’t remember what it was. Sorry for the ridiculously long comment, just passing through, and by the way, your art’s really good =D

your pics are different and that makes them cool
