Well I saw the thing standing in the desert heat
It had a ukelele and suction cup feet
With no one else around far as I could see
Looks like a purple people eater to me...
(And all of you should know what comes next....)
....I wanted to paint something purple. My friend suggested the purple people eater. So, I decided to reinvent the purple people eater. Why is he tuning a ukelele? Why does he have suction cup feet? Why is he in a desert? (Well, he's clearly tuning his ukele BECAUSE he's in the desert! You know-- different atmospheric conditions effect tuning and all!)
I used watercolors and watercolor pencils. I've been avoiding doing things properly, so instead of using watercolor paper, I used rubber cement to stick copy paper to cardboard. It works pretty well. The background was done on two notecards runbber-cemented together. This does not work well. I combined monster and background in Paint Shop Pro.
It was a one-eyed, one-horned, flyin' purple people eater
