| 8 Dec 2002 | Silent Soul | Loading...She looks like a drow, am I right? Looks a lot like Drizzt Do'Urden's wife.... very well done all in all. Maya R. Hirschman replies: "Well, she is Drow, but she wasn't Drizzt's wife. But she does have a history of loving rogues. I'm glad you like her. " | |
| 27 May 2003 | JSK Chang | Loading...wow, awesome. I like her nose! Maya R. Hirschman replies: "Ya, it's nice and prominent. " | |
| 24 Sep 2003 | Laura | Loading...Fantastic piece of art. Her face especially drew me, as it has great strength, but also hides many sorrows. I'm taking your guided tour at the moment and am enjoying that too. Well done for both pic and tour. Maya R. Hirschman replies: "Thanks for leaving the comment. It's always nice to know someone is actually taking one of my tours. " | |
| 16 Nov 2003 | Martini | Loading...If all ur art looks like that u defenitley deserve way more than a self promotion!!!! I love the shading in this pic! I also love her face, its strong and noble! Maya R. Hirschman replies: "Thank you, thank you, thank you. Sometimes I need to be affirmed." | |
| 11 Dec 2003 | Cat Bowen | Loading...I like the expression on her face, she looks like she's concentrating on something. Complex characters are the best kind of characters, aren't they? Maya R. Hirschman replies: "I wouldn't dream of creating any other sort. All my characters are multi-layered, or are meant to be, at least." | |
| 14 Jan 2004 | Kate | Loading...Ah I love her! This drow is a real female drow, hard and determined, not a slutty priestess Well I think that's how they should be anyway! Maya R. Hirschman replies: "Thank you very much ! I think Rhyl is the epitome of what a Drow Matron should be. " | |
| 1 Jul 2004 | Brandie Francoeur | Loading...Her face is very captivating, and not what would seem to be typically elven, the hooked nose, the little lines around her mouth that seem to be telling me that she rarely, if ever, smiles. She would be the Matron that demands respect and gets it, not just because of birthright, but because of fear, and that she has earned it, she survied her assent to the throne. I will never look at one of those skantly clad priestess the same way again. This is just so much more Drow. Great Tour btw. Maya R. Hirschman replies: "Thank you very much ! I am glad that you appreciate her uniqueness - I know I do. I think the depth of character in her face demonstrates the depth of my relationship to her as her player (whoa, I am such a geek) - I spent a lot of time developing her and no character flowed as naturally as she did. I'm glad you enjoyed my tour." | |
| 9 Aug 2004 | Fan | Loading...Wow....*lol whilst recovers from speechlessness*....almost spooky, but comforting at the same time. I know that makes no sense what so ever, but that's what came to mind. Maya R. Hirschman replies: "THanks very much. I'm not sure I understand what you mean, but I'll take what I can get." | |
| 16 Jun 2005 | Katherine Montgomery aka Sorianna | Loading...I love this piece!! She looks so strong, and you can tell she's led a hard life that she worked for. I especially love the face. The nose is wonderful O-(------------------->; Soracia Maya R. Hirschman replies: "I do love strong faces and profile portraits - they show so much character. Thanks so much for the comment. " | |
| 12 Apr 2006 | David_of_Rhyl | Loading...I can't believe you have named your character after my hometown. I salute you, fair maiden of the enchanted realm. Maya R. Hirschman replies: "It was a fluke, but I have actually sent away for brochures of Rhyl - just for the fun of it. Maybe one day I'll visit." | |
