Suliss is my Drow priestess. High Priestess of Lloth, in fact. I'm not into drippy gothy Drow all draped in webs and with these horribly depressed expressions. I mean, the Drow are stunningly beautiful, powerful, chaotic, and they LIKE it that way. Not affraid to show some skin, they're not gaudy the way humans so often are. For a traditional Drow, artistry is as important as a good ritual sacrifice. Oh, and ya, it's pencil on paper.

Lovely. Her pose & expression are very well drawn, but the shading in this pic is really awesome! Good job.

:-) Maya R. Hirschman replies: "Thanks. The sad part is the original got water-smudged and now it's lost all its lovely sharpness. :/"

I like it! And I like how you got the point of the drow; evil and liking it that way. They are not some tragic race, they like being dark! I really like her outfit and the way you captured her beauty (being a daughter of a higher house to be a high priestess and all she would be beautiful) and now I feel inspired..LOL Thanks 2

:-) Maya R. Hirschman replies: "Well thank you ! I try to depict drow from their point of view. In their minds, it's everyone else that has the problems. It's been so long since Suli got a comment, thank you for leaving such a nice one to break the dry spell. 2"

You have it right! The drow have terrible beauty. They are not constrained by the same morays that huamns have when it comes to clothes OR sexuality. They as a race are evil (with a few notable exceptions) and are stunningly beautiful! Thus I use the phrase 'terrible beauty'. So make them gorgeous! Make them smile and laugh! Evil is very often jolly....especially when it is not they suffering! hehe Wonderful work!!

:-) Maya R. Hirschman replies: "Drow aren't evil, they simply what they are, and do not understand how to be another way. It works for them. 2

I thank you for your involved comments. You are clearly another fan of the drow."

Been years since I've seen that style of bodice worn. Very home like. Thanks.

:-) Maya R. Hirschman replies: "Home, eh? Intersting."

It's nice to see a Drow who's dressed differently. I mean, I think spider webs look nifty and all, but they can't all dress the same. Her staff's cool too, and is that a little spider dangling off the thing in her hair?
Really cool picture 2

:-) Maya R. Hirschman replies: "Yes, it is a spider in her hair, not just a fancy up-do. I try to avoid the gothy, depressed drow... they're not goths. They're drow. They'd probably disembowl goths on principal. 12"

Why are we gaudy?

:-) Maya R. Hirschman replies: "I was writing from the perspective of dark elves... But, I've been to Florida and I come from Brooklyn, so I think I know what gaudy looks like. 2 Thanks for actually reading the description."

Aiee! I am envious of your drow-drawing skills! I love her! She looks very powerful and dangerous!

:-) Maya R. Hirschman replies: "Thanks ! I have a thing for Drow, what can I say?"

Brilliant
shes beautiful
tough looking
wonderful outfit
i love the way she just exposes her nipples
thats a a real tease
not sure about her reason for dressing like this
is it to entice and then trap boys
or simply to look lovely and sexy

:-) Maya R. Hirschman replies: "Traditionally, the Drow have no hang-ups about sexuality or their bodies. She has no reason not to expose herself."

I love it. Especially how you managed to make the top semi-transparent like that. Although I can't really figure out where the top ends and her stomach starts...
