I
There is a world not many know of
Far away
In this world lies a land
That everyone aware of this world knows of
For the ruler of this land could be considered a tyrant
But he is not a tyrant
Here is his story.
There is a Council
That decides the fate of serious convicts
It is like Supreme Court
Except the Council can overrule the rights of royalty
Of all the lands
The Prince of a land’s name is Abaddon
He has a mental disease
That makes him addicted to the pain of others
He was born with this disease
So it is not his fault
He took medicine that would make him not long to kill others
Only hurt them
He had long black hair
That was naturally messy
He had eyes as green as opals
And skin pale like fine china
The council suggested that his castle become a prison
So he can torture those convicted of the worst crimes
So he can keep himself from hurting his subjects
He gladly agreed
He was called Prince for two reasons
The first being he was 19 years old
It is legal for rulers to be young
But they cannot be called King until age 20
He became Prince at age 17
When his family was killed by a plague
Since he was so young
It was required by The Council for him to have an adviser
This man was his head general Severus
Who was cogent
The other reason is
To be called King
You must have a Queen
Abaddon would never have a Queen.
II
Abaddon fell in love with another Prince
Named Draco
He had short blonde hair
Agate eyes
And slightly pale skin
He was the most physically beautiful Prince
In all the lands
Draco loved Abaddon
This was frowned upon by Draco’s family
Except for his father
Who only encouraged him secretly
For he knew the family would take him away from Draco
If he expressed his opinion
Draco went to live with Abaddon
For he knew his family was afraid of him
The only reason Abaddon didn’t kill Draco’s family
Was because Draco begged him not to
For Draco still loved his family
His family was aware of Abaddon’s hatred of them
Draco knew of Abaddon’s disease
Every year Abaddon stopped taking his medicine for one month
So it would not permanently damage his brain
During this period Draco stayed alone at Severus’s house
While Abaddon was locked in a cell
And ate nothing
So he would be too faint to feel his misery
The medicine and Draco’s love
Nearly neutralized his disease
All were happy in the lands
Except for Draco’s family.
III
Draco’s mother became aware of his father’s true feelings
But told no one
She instead had a servant bring her Draco’s birthday present from his father
This secretly had a shirt for Abaddon
Which she poisoned
So Abaddon would be killed
And Draco would come home
Forgetting this imprudence
When the gift came
Draco admired the quality of the shirt
It made him miss home
Abaddon said if he liked it that much
He could have it
So he put it on
And died.
IV
Draco’s family was mortified
But they got over it
Except for his father
Who became despondent
Abaddon was crestfallen
Draco was the only one who he was gentle to
Without him, he was completely deleterious
His medicine stopped working
All he could ever think of
Was the excruciating death of Draco’s family
Draco’s father contacted Abaddon
And when he heard of Abaddon’s desire
He begged Abaddon to kill him also
So he would be relieved of his anguish
Abaddon poisoned him
So it would be painless
Before this
Abaddon had Draco’s father write a letter to the family
So they would come into a small forest beside a valley
To mourn Draco’s death
They did
Abaddon set the edges of the forest on fire
The family was burned alive
Their screams echoed through the valley
Abaddon enjoyed listening to this
As he died
Severus found a letter
Telling him to go to Draco’s grave
He did
There he found Draco’s casket
Which had been dug up
And was open
Inside was Draco’s body
Along with Abaddon’s
A knife in his heart
His lips touching the cheek of his beloved.
