Dis, or 'haze' in english. Another rp character from the online Firebringer based roleplaying site The Vale.

About this image... Crit I've recieved is that the head is too small, wish I'm inclined to agree upon - it's my most often appearing mistake when it comes to the equine. Someone called her 'Buggeyed' - not appreciated! - she's one of those equines that has a white ring around her eyes at all time.
The background is...lacking. It's been suggested I should remove the tree in the middle, and it probably would do a lot of good of rthe image - unfortunetly I do not have a layered vbersion of teh background left, so I'll be forced to redo the entire background. And it will be a while before I feel up to that I assure you. The background is kind of sloppy made anyways - I will improove on it for my next attempt, and also likely will make the forest greener then.

Media: As usual - Photoshop CS with my Wacom pen.

I think this is absolutely wonderful. I love the colors, the sorrel and white (love the way she's marked, too) against the colors of the forest background. I think it makes her stand out all the more. And there are horses out there that have the smaller head and the larger eye (she doesn't look bugeyed). There are Arabians that are much sought after for such confirmation. I think it's an amazing depiction of the unicorn with a slightly different flare. One word: Unique. And, after all is said and done, isn't that a good trait for an artist to depict?

I love it, who in the heack called it bug eyed? I like this unicorn cuz there are hardly any red ones like this. Plus the angle of the head is neat.1

I think your picture is just fine the way it is. I think the reason why the head looks kind of small is because her fur is dark but her mane is white. With her white mane surrounding her dark face, I think it gives the illusion of her head being smaller than it actually is. Also, I quite like the background. I didn’t even notice the tree in the middle ’til I read the description because I the horse looks so beautiful I couldn’t take my eyes off her!

All in all, great picture.

P.S., I like the white around her eyes 2
