And where, you may ask, is the Vale of Altherine? I have no friggin' clue.

After doing three exhaustive 'real media' pics (Gus, Franz & Marcus) for a scifi convention, I was suffering from Photoshop deprivation and decided to try something completely from scratch, which I hadn't done before. So here we are. Just a small thing (original size anyway), nothing fancy, but I sort of like the mood.

Oh, and that indistinct flying this up in the left corner is a dragon. Hard to tell, but I assure you it is--it swooped down and stole my ham sandwich two minutes after my imagination snapped this shot. And there's some kind of raptor in that tree on the right too; don't know what kind. And, as my friend pointed out, yes I had to put a unicorn in there...

Reminds me of my home in Oregon. The way it looks ALL WINTER. Except the unicorn would be a llama.This has such a sense of quiet.I mean, when I look at this I'm aware of the noise my computer is making,because it is out of place with this image!

This is very beautiful. I love the unicorn! And lol, the dragon must have been very hungry for stealing your sandwich. Gods, you're very good at Photoshop, this looks so very real. Lovely! Keep up the wonderful work! *dances away*

This is one of those pictures that sort of makes my heart ache to look at it; I want to be *there* so bad, unicorn and dragon and raptor notwithstanding; I can almost smell the mist and the tiny hairs on my arms and the back of my neck prickle just a bit at the chill it brings.

I haven't been caught up this much by a piece of art in quite a long time.

I am a big fan of backgrounds and this one stopped me. I imagined that i could feel the fog hear the unicorn walking. It just felt like i was there in the picture. Awesome work.

Without that unicorn, there would be no majesty in this picture. It would simply become a desolate region inhabited by reptilian creatures such as the dragon and the raptor. Although the dragon is the most majestic creature of all, the land would seem to be more conquered than peaceful. The unicorn was a very nice touch.

Fabulous landscape. It feels so ethereal. I feel like a travel who has stumbled on a forgotten land that somehow escaped the notice of man. The unicorn and dragon are a nice touch and balance each other really well. It might just be the mist, but this piece is also a little sad. There should be more places like this out there. Excellent color choice.

do u draw these by hand and scan them onti the computer or do you do them on photo shop???22
