When I first started making ACEOs for eBay, I did a set of three unicorns in different colors (maybe I'll upload them if I'm not too lazy). Somebody emailed me a little later and asked if I could do another one, so I did. I rather like it. But then again, I like unicorns and purple things, so how could I not like it?

2.5' x 3.5', Prismacolors on Strathmore black Artagain paper.

This has really nice textures... A sinuous and moody quality for something so beautiful...

You? Love purple? Coming from the girl who once upon a time had "pra-pul" wings, I'm not exactly suprised. Lovin' it babe, lovin' it!

22 Misti Hope Wudtke replies: "*whispers* Hey now, we don't need to go spreading stuff like that around...and YOU'RE just jealous 'cause YOU didn't have prapul wings. Maybe I was a dragon in a past lifetime, okay? With really cool prapul wings and I've just forgotten all about it now that I grew up. Well, now that I've gotten older, anyway..."

the style of this picture looks just like a book I had about a Unicorn when I was a kid...or rather, I got it when I was a kid, I’m sure I still have it! I can’t remember what it was called but it was about a Unicorn who lived in a world made of crystal...and something about a rose growing...I don’t remember...you haven’t perchance read it?

3 Misti Hope Wudtke replies: "AAAAAGGGGHHHHH!!! I SOOOO know what book you mean--or at least, I think I do! It’s a Serendipity book called Shimmeree; it was one of my favorite Serendipity books when I was little! You can even get it at Amazon.com; just search for "Shimmeree".

I wasn’t thinking of that book at all when I drew this, but I have to admit that all of the Serendipity books had a PROFOUND effect on me when I was little, and often you can still see their influence in my work today. I love those books..."
