A piece I did last summer, during a heat wave, while I was dreaming about how nice it would be to have air conditioning, or a swimming pool, or both.  So I just thought about hatchling dragons going for a swim at their favorite swimming hole.  I think the pink hatchling is chicken--is he going to dive in or not?

I think I could have done a better job on the water, but I haven't really painted much in the line of water so I think it turned out all right for a first attempt.  Now I know better for next time...

11" x 14", ink & watercolors on watercolor paper, 2006.

How can this NOT have comments?
Those Dragons are so wonderfully cute, I want one!
And I think the water looks great, much better than anything I could do. I wish I was there.
Btw, *first comment dance* =3

But just a wonderful all over pic.

oh i have another suggestion for future pics (this one obviously didn’t need any tips) if you make a mistake or, if you want to add highlight or any other kindda white effect, take a little bleach and dilute it with water then paint it onto the areas to be lightened and blot it off with a paper towel or rag, do this until the level of lightning is acheived. also be careful not to put to much bleach too quickly as the acid in it can eat through the paper. but the gives nice results and last as long as the peice does with out yellowing.
