Its a nice touch that the pheonix is swanlike - again reminisent of the Ugly duckling becoming a swan? Beautiful portrayal of a call to change

An excellent compostition! The use of a swan rather than a predator bird is very unique, but with the comment that you want peace, makes more sense. You need to put some more hilights on the beak, it would make it stand out from the background and give it more dimensionality. The wing in back, looks a little odd, maybe more shading, to show it is farther back, or less definition, so it looks farther. The flaming feathers look fantastic, maybe bits of flame rising from the wings?

Brilliant colors... and I agree with Blake; it does look like the Pheonix is the true from to the woman. Nicely done. It seems to have the same poise as her; like an extension of her own self or something along those lines..
