SciFi and Fantasy Art Tosk: Dragon Assassin by Mike ´LoboLoco´ Garcia

This is Tosk(ta' sk) Dragon Assassin... I created him for a competition in a 3D forum that was having a 2D contest to design a 'Dragon Slayer.'
Being one who likes to go against the trend, I decided against the typical, muscle-bound, sword-swinging barbarian and opted to come at it from a different angle. Instead of a warrior running full steam into a dragon to hopefully take his head, I believe that subtlety and cunning would get you further, or at least live a little longer.

Unfortunately, I didn't even get honorable mention in the competition...but I really like the character and story that came out of it.
I'm currently working on a graphic story of the adventures of Tosk (c) Mike Garcia 2001.

2 Feb 2003	Anonymous	Loading... Hey, I´m an Assasin (L.A.R.P.) myself, and i can just say: This armor of full plate is realistic - but he looks more than a tortoise than like an Assasin... Anyway, this is a cool pic - but an Assasin would NEVER as much as from his face. Mike 'LoboLoco' Garcia replies: "Thanks for the compliment...though I'm not sure what your last line means...if you meant that 'an assassin would never [show that much of his] face'(?) then all I can say is that he's not worried about people seing his face, he only assassinates dragons. The mask is only to help him breath in the dragons' dens."

13 Jun 2004	Jelise	Loading... Oh my. I so do love Tosk's story, and he is such an amazingly drawn character. I'm so surprised you didn't get something for this; you really should have. It's wonderful!Thanks. I wasn't too surprised I didn't win...too many adolescents involved in the voting -thus the muscle-bound barbarians won. Keep an eye out for the webcomic "TOSK" (working title) for stories and adventures featuring Tosk, Dragon Assassin later this year.
