Part one of Firefea Forest. A combo of (my) photos and photoshop painting.

The glowing orbs are tiny spirits, firefaes, that have very little else to do, so they collect and carry the messages from the spirits from one to another. Each spirit's message has different color: Viraditen's is gold.

Viraditen's name came from the latin word viriditas, which means greenness, freshness, or to bloom. She drifts above the forest floor, brushing her vines against the earth and plants, leaving green plants and bright flowers.

Very cool! Though I personally find the idea of a disembodied head drifting through the woods on a bunch of plant tendrils, like an octopus thru the cold deep, kind of disturbing...
