She did'nt mean to swim so near the shore, her mother had warned her about the nets. But she could'nt risist the warm and glittering waves of the beach. Her heart was wild as she swam fasther and further. The freedom of the water filled her with such a joy that she did not stop to listen to the warnings around her. She didnt realise that the fish became fewer or that event the noise that always ruled the ocean floor had been silenced. If she would had stopped just one second, she would have realiced that she was alone..

Then, all around her where threads, invisible threads.. holding on to her tail. Maybe she fainted, but the next time she opened her eyes she was'nt in the water, she laied on something cold and flat, above her the sun wathed her, tourmenting her skin and eyes. Then she saw them, these people, kippeled, how strange they where. with two tales witch they stood apon. how strange. They talked on a strange language, if only thay would have been benith the surface, she could have understood or just said somthing herself.

The people with the nets brought her here. Alone. Stolen from the freedom of the ocean. They placed her in a tank for tail-less people to come, point and stare. She was like a fish to them. And they would never let her go.

If you ever catch one of theese in your net. Dont tell anyone, its best that way.

She is doomed. She is the last of her family. She was forced to watch as each night one of her parents or children was butchered and eaten in front of her. "Oh how I wish I could escape from this tank, and drown on dry land!"
