Milla is an elf in disguise, SHHH!NOTE: I am *not* the Klingon.
I am an artist in the midst of an existential crisis. I'm almost out of college (one forty-page paper on Chinese opera and I'm done) and I have to decide what to do with the rest of my life. I want to see the world and be on the ocean so I'm thinking of joining the Coast Guard. But I also have a lot of hobbies I'm getting into after neglecting my life for all of college--my webcomic, capoeira (just started..I used to do tang soo do and kung fu among others), writing and art (and possibly art skool in community college). So I don't know what to do! Worse yet I have started to doubt my muse. My experiences over the past few years have shown me that there are a lot of things I want to fight for..sustainable development, social justice, fair trade, all those lovely things...and somehow, scribbling away on elves and magical worlds just doesn't seem very important anymore. So, I REALLY don't know what to do now. Cause this is what I always thought I wanted to do. and now..???
So. While I'm off having a nervous breakdown, you can look at the accumulation of my work since high school. I generally draw characters from stories I'm writing, though there are also random characters who don't do anything, or whose stories haven't been written down yet. Most of the stories are not on Elfwood because I want to publish someday (and haven't really finished most of them yet..); then there is the saga of my little elfie world (look for pictures of people called Windsong, Skyfrost, Sares, Neide and Caelisse among others; and read part of the story in Wyvern's..). The elfie world is..special..and thus it gets to be on online.
Update 1/24/07: Ok, serious relationships are bad for your artistic health. I spent like the last seven months being obsessed with a relationship that wasn't going well...now I think I need to get over it, and DO SOME DRAWING AND WRITING!!11 (If only I hadn't started to doubt the meaningfulness of all that too..)
But well..I did draw something somehow. yayx. One of the elfies, of all things. And turned out darn good for not having drawn in a year, if I say so myself! Perhaps there is yet hope for my fantasy projects??
