Um, you're a young teenage boy? I hope so. It seems you just draw boobies and go 'heheh' in your room alone at night. Nothing wrong with drawing erotica and indulging in your fantasies, Its just that drawing frontal shots of boobie-girls is pretty hollow as far as actual 'art' goes. Artistic nudity works, this is just breasts. I'd like to see these characters engaged in plot filled action (not in that way, silly!) with new angles and such. If you don't know how to draw that, hey practice makes perfect. Youre not bad, with practice practice practice, you could be on your way to a self-published popular hentai manga series *teehee* But dude, seriously, cut down on the blatent chests.

:-) Michael G. Mendoza replies: "Well so far there are only two pictures that have any actual nudity in them whatsoever, so these are hardly all just "boobie pictures", I also beleive that whether or not a piece of work is artistic or not is in the eye of the beholder. As I said on the main page most of these works are character pictures, for the sake of knowing what the person in question looks like. Other pictures with different angles and such will follow later, currently I am working on the final two members of the group. Personally I dont see any reason to open your comment with a insult but I would appreciate some actual comment on the quality of the work."

I really like your artwork, the coloring fits nicely together. Nothing can be said that you haven't read all ready. I just felt it better to comment on the overall group then each one seperately because I'm lazy like that. 1 Good luck on future works of art, I hope/want to see more!

:-) Michael G. Mendoza replies: "Thanks for stopping in and letting me know what you think, though I do wonder if you are referring to the negative aspects of the previous post when you say theres nothing to be said that hasn't already. I'll be sure and let you know when new stuff comes up =)"

Oh no no sorry I was tired! None of the negative aspects. I was in a sour mood I'm sure I would have wanted to right out anything negative :-p nothing like picking on someone you don't know right? haha. I was referring to the more positive comments!

1 Michael G. Mendoza replies: "Glad to hear that you enjoyed everything! Just wanted to check where you were standing, A few new works should be up in the following days. Hope you enjoy. =)"

*shoots Jean* Bug off! Hello Michael ^_^ Great artwork you got here. And don't listen to those stupid...words...who are getting after you for drawing breasts. Hell, you go to my gallery and I've got full frontal nudity. And some of my people I've drawn aren't really doing anything like yours. But I still like them. And I'll tell you straight forward. There is absolutely nothing nothing nothing nothing wrong with having erotic fantasies while drawing. In fact, sometimes it can make your work much better. And while looking at these pictures, it seems my theory is proven. Well, keep drawing I want to see more more more!

:-) Michael G. Mendoza replies: "Finally someone who appreciates the female form without automatically criticizing the work for its content! I would have responded to your comment sooner but I kinda missed it. hehe Ive got a ticket currently pending so check back within the next few days for a couple of new pics, I hope you enjoy them!"

I am very amused at the comments you have gotten so far. But I will go on with what I first noticed about your pics.

Most of them are just one character standing as if in front of a camera and getting their snapshot taken. I like how uniform the presentation of them is, and how they each show a bit of personality in their poses and stances, as if they all react to the camera differently. 2 Taken as a whole, the pictures make a good series, and definately show that it is possible to have diversity while adhering to a fairly strict format. I like to draw character portraits, too, and I know how hard it can be to give them poses that describe their personalities.

:-) Michael G. Mendoza replies: "Thanks for stopping in and checking out my work, I'm glad you enjoyed it! I did my best to try and pass on the personality of the characters with each picture, Its good to know that I was successful. =)"

Nice gallery, but you might want to add some variety to it...all the pics look the same, besides dress. Don't be afraid to give your women bigger hips...and the beasts are very high...no real women has them that high..other wise...besides the fact that you seem rather obsessed with the female form ;p

:-) Michael G. Mendoza replies: "Well, as I said on the main page im currently doing character concept pictures and honing my frontal view. Other angles will follow in the future. As for the highness of the chest, anime is a exaggerated style of the human body. Although if there are any pictures where it is particularily higher than others do point them out specfically so I know what to look at. Lastly yes I am obsessed with the female form, I along with countless other artist find the feminine form a thing of infinite beauty. However I do work with the male figure, just not nearly as much. I appreciate you stopping in and commenting, its always a pleasure to hear the thoughts of others =) "

Love all these characters! I suppose the styles not for everyone, but thats no reason to deny you've got a talent for the figures in *that* style. Would love to see more, especially when you start drawing them in other poses. Oh and hope you don't mind the crits I've made on your pictures. I believe in pointing out the areas that need improvement as well as the points I like to an artist. Anyway, I've said enough I think, keep up the good work!

:-) Michael G. Mendoza replies: "I greatly appreicate you stopping in! I loved your comments and am never unhappy with criticism. Im am very pleased that you like my works, it makes me feel good to hear it. Before I posted I was very unsure of my skills, these comments have gone a long way in making me more confident. I am aware that I still have plenty of room to grow and thanks to the help of you and the others who have commented here I am sure I'm on my way. =D"

I really love your work. I like how you draw your characters front on poses, which convey good emotion. Your figures are good also. Only one crit., I'd love to see some more characters in action. Other than that, good job!

:-) Michael G. Mendoza replies: "Im glad that you liked everything =). Im finally happy with my frontal view and will be working with other views much more often now. There will still be a few frontals slipping in from time to time, but I think Im ready to move on. Stop in from time to time to see the new stuff or check out http://ripperarcane.deviantart.com as it has the newest things. =)"

This is really a great gallery, You are really talented. I must thank you for the the comments you left on my page. As I said, these comments always make my day brighter. I think I'm gonna give you a challenge 12. all the pics except for the fallen angel present you characters from the front view. It would be cool to see them from a different angle or perhaps moving... I know, I'm not the one who should talk abotu moving but XD.
keep up your goof work and thanks again!

:-) Michael G. Mendoza replies: "Well up to this point Ive been pretty strictly a character artist, just doing pics to get the feel of the char. At the moment Im taking some time off to re-evaluate my art style, Im not where I want to be just yet. Once I make my return I will bring with me a style that should vary as much from what I do now as that work I did before this. Ill make good on that challenge, =)"

I like your work, it has matured with time. But I would like to see older, more fleshed out characters, with more emotion, feeling, breadth of character. I too have come to terms with my artwork not living up to my standards, although I tend to stay with watercolor and acrylic landscapes, specifically fog shrouded or night scenes. It seems to be a niche I cannot get out of. Maybe going back to something old, something familiar, can breathe new life into both of our works...regardless, your art continues to get better. Don't listen to the "boobies" comments, we both know that anime and fantasy art has always been about beauty, and to some, the female form in Manga is the utmost of beauty.
