| 4 Sep 2004 | Lisac3 | Loading...This is the kind of thing I do a lot of, (in my gallery, not my library) and I love it. Commenters above have a lot of good things to say, though, it's easy to create something that is complex and neat looking in Photoshop, but tough to create something truly unique and effective. Also, subtlety can be very important. One of my favorite techniques is to create something that a lot of things could potentially be seen in, like a Rorshach test. Then, I give it a vague name, and let people create their own images. Me, I don't take people's criticisms too harshly, since ultimately, I enjoy the creation process for myself, and love watching complex patterns and textures emerge. Besides, the people who do like my stuff positively worship it. I would hate to see you give up on this kind of thing to go into more "traditional" digital art, like painting and drawing. I think we need more experimenting. Personally, I don't like digital painting that much, since I'm more concerned with enjoying the process then working towards a final product, and I like the spontaneity and expression that comes with this style. But maybe I'm just lazy. My roommates are looking at this now. One is suggesting you give the skull a top hat and cigar and make it Baron Samedi. The other is suggesting you put an even smaller skull inside the big one, on and on, creating a mirror-infinity effect. | |

| 13 Oct 2004 | Shadow Girl | Loading...Woah I love this one. It's so metallic. What was the point of this one. I would love to know. I ;like hearing the back-stories of pictures and I'm sure this pic has an interesting one. It looks like the skull is in a crystal ball. Is it? Is it plotting death or something? That would be really cool. | |

I'm new (very) to photoshop, and if you could just shove me in the right direction, that would be great! If you know of any good turorials, that'd be fine. | |
| 18 Aug 2005 | NecroEchet | Loading...I remember finding an all green version of this picture at some point in time. Was this one your In Progress versions of the work? And if it is, do you still have that image? It's my favorite version. | |
