hmmm, myself. A time seldom comes along when i haven't either opened a book or written down a couple of lines of some story - unless i'm absolutely and positively snowed under by either my job or my uni work- and even then i usually manage to do something. My inspiration comes from everything- usually everyday events, dreams/imagined sequences or music (you would be amazed). However, my one failing is that i cannot draw... Awww... i suppose it isn't much of a problem, is it?
LATEST UPLOAD: Jun 06... I've got something which might interesting some people!
Contents of Library: is Five different, seperate stories.
All Hell: is a pure fantasy, set back a couple of thousand years. It's set in the same world and is the prequel to...
The Elite: an urban, modern fantasy about the problems which occur when you forget about an important section of your history.... and the trials and tribulations of one of the lovely young ladies in the world.
the Fatal Fairytales: There's only one here, the 12 dancing princesses, but it's just a rewrite to make it more evil than it was previously.
The Awakening: Different world from the first lot, and one of my more recent works. It's set in a world where what they had thought they had successfully dealt with, in this case an evil godling, isn't so dealt with after all.
Just uploaded something NEW for this (hot off the press!) Check out Sh'dyan's Dreams! The Seven Rings: set in a different world, this follows the story of a Knight who is attempting to redeem himself after helping his comrade free the Seven Rings - an entity so evil, that the stories about them were wrong.

Have a good one Delorin Joanne Barnden replies: "why thanks - yes - it does look a little bare, doesn't it. i will be around to read the new ones in your shelf soon."

I was just wondering if you had some story you particularly wanted to have comments on or which you recommend reading first. With that info I can more effectively return the commenting favour Joanne Barnden replies: "well it all depends really, i don't mind what you read, and i will love whatever you say. I reckon though, The Awakening and the Seven Rings are the best."
| 20 Feb 2004 | David Bx | Loading...Omg... I'll read what I can tonight and comment! (I'm making it a point to pay back the favor of commenting...) Joanne Barnden replies: "I know there's a lot, seems a little daunting, doesn't it? Anyway, I hope you enjoy what you read! Thank you for coming to my shelf, I will go back to yours and finish reading your stuff!" | |

Ya might like it, might not. *shrugs* I'd bet on the latter though, lol. Just so you know, you're on my (admittedly short; 3) list of people to read up on. Only ones i can remember that i liked. ;D So be expecting some comments down the road. Have a good one Delorin Joanne Barnden replies: "thanks for the compliment! I'll have to take a wander in the direction of your shelf and see what you've got there for me to read. I look forward to seeing you again!"

Just took me too blinkin' long to get a job. *le sigh* But like I said, here I am. Sure hope you haven't bailed in the last month. I'll give you a couple days to respond to this. Otherwise, prepare to be bombarded with emails looking for you. Mwahahahahaha... Take it easy Delorin Joanne Barnden replies: "i'm still here - sorry it's taken me so long to reply! I'm not usually this tardy, but school work has started to hit me rather hard... that and work. But *waves* Hello!"
| 30 May 2007 | Christy Miller | Loading...Just leaving a note for all the Elfwood Writers! The Keys to becoming a successful author! Take care of them. - you must always remember this when you are writing. Sight, sound, taste, smell and feeling! They are simple, but many times, if you miss one of these, the book or story just isn’t what it could be! Don’t be afraid to describe in depth of what you see. Your readers don’t know your world. If you want to show them exactly what you are creating, you need to be specific! Joanne Barnden replies: "Right... Thanks" | |
| 3 May 2008 | Crystal | Loading...Hi, Just wondering on the order to read "The Awakening" or are you one of the organised ones and they are all in order already? Thanks | |
