| 18 Jun 2008 | Anne Wipf | Welcome to the Woods. I hope to see more of your beautiful artwork soon. Ian 'skully' Morgan replies: "thanks, I plan to add some more soon!" | |
| 18 Jun 2008 | Dave Cripps | You like Giger? Check out Rhodri McCormack at: http://www.elfwood.com/art/r/h/rhodri/rhodri.html Ian 'skully' Morgan replies: "I do, I have done and his work is amazing." | |
| 19 Jun 2008 | Elsa R. Oakley | I think I like the moon picture best; just because it is so striking. I am still pretty amazed at the detail in the bio-mechanical pictures though. | |
| 20 Jun 2008 | Weise Lehrerin | Love your music and interests! you have an exquisite gallery | |
| 21 Jun 2008 | Cecily ´SLWS´ Webster | Seen this one? http://www.elfwood.com/fanq/d/c/dclee2/xenocoloradjust.jpg.ht- - ml Also, being both an archaeologist and a collector of bones who occasionally draws things, I recommend to you for inspiration the skulls of gibbons and badgers, the pelvises of seabirds and the skeletons of bats. That and a trip to London to visit the Huntarian museum if at all possible - bodysnatcher or not, the range of things Hunter collected in there is fascinating, including bones massively deformed by the later stages of syphilis so they look like they%u2019ve half-exploded, half turned into plants... Ian 'skully' Morgan replies: "that museum sounds fascinating, i’ll have to try and visit that." | |
| 21 Jun 2008 | Cecily ´SLWS´ Webster | They let you virtual-tour little bits, though it’s far more impressive in the flesh, genuine 18th-century hideous experiments and all...here: http://www.rcseng.ac.uk/about/virtual_tours/museum.html
If you click the crystal gallery frame with the skeletons of the Irish Giant and the guy with crazy spinal bifidia and turn a full circle in the ’tour’ window, you should be able to see the preserved head of a ****rel who had his spurs grafted into his comb, where they grew like horns...under that is a beaver’s jaw where the lower tooth has grown full circle, though I don’t think you can really see it in the picture. It’s a beautiful artifact, almost art nouveau, so long as one doesn’t think about the treatment of the poor creatures Hunter collected... | |
| 22 Jun 2008 | Raphael Garcin | Since Giger is my favorite painter of all time, I can definitely say you got something from him in your biomechanoids pictures. It is done with style, detail and accuracy. Keep it up! Ian 'skully' Morgan replies: "thank you." | |
| 14 Jul 2008 | Nightislander | I like your smiley | |
| 14 Jul 2008 | Nightislander | your art is very creative... Red Skull reminds me of terminator only in flesh instead of roboticness | |
| 30 Jul 2008 | Jonas Lidström | I like your pictures alot, especialy the black and white pic’s... a bit of "Giger-ish" feeling ower them in some way. | |
