Tag As FavoriteComment		This charecter is İ Liz Carlson, aka aureath ( http://aureath.deviantart.com/ ). She had a contest to draw one or more of her naga charecters in some fancy way... so this is what I came up with. Pipedream is modeled after one of the most beautifull snakes Ive ever seen, the sunbeam snake. Thats why he is rainbow-y wherever the lights hit. I strongly encourage everyone to search out a picture of the sunbeam snake. Its simply gorgeous. Pipedream the naga, fully decked out in his sexeh multicolored beads, was made in adobe illustrator. Thats right folks, a vector-naga! The winner of the contest has yet to be announced, but if I win, Ill let y'all know. There are some really awesome artists working on this contest, so who knows.

This will be kind of a strange comment...but you how when you close your eyes, you sometimes see just random patterns in your vision? Probably something to do with electrical signals in nerve endings...anyways, one of the pattersn I see is exactly like those beads you've made! It's like they've come to life! Congrats on the mod's.

I think somebody went to Mardi Gras! Hmmm, since he already isn't wearing clothes, I wonder what he had to do there to get those beads. Hehe, I probly should just keep some thoughts to myself, eh?

Anyway, neat picture. I don't know if I've ever seen a naga with wings. His shiny skin is neat. I can't really think of anything useful to suggest, so I'll just wander off now.

The luminous quality of this picture it really breathtaking! The beads are fabulous! And the rendering is really well executed! I have nothing bad to say about this picture, which is rare... I'm a big fan of constructive crit, but there's nothing here i can see that would make this picture better. Keep it up! Love peace emapthy...

this pic is dam good!Ilove the contrast between the pearls and his skin and everything else!!!as you wanted, I lookes up for the sunbeam snake and I´m really thankful for that tip.They are awesome beautiful serpents, and for snakes always were my favourite animal,I simply love them!
Do nagas alway have wings?
A and by the way, I hope you win, though I haven´t seen the other pictures.But I really don´t wanna see them for I´m terribly happy with fancying yours!

Congrats. Very nice. I have worked with illustrator so i know what a pain it is to deal with. Wow. I cant imagine all of the time you spent working on this. Amazing.

What is the purpose of the beads?

Kudos to you, whacking great big kudos because using Illustrator can be like doing the jigsaw puzzle from HELL. It's still my favourite sofware to use ^_~

Loving the image, my only criticism would be that the beads look a little flat in comparison to the rest, but I'm willing to bet you'd have rather gouged your eyes out than do dinky bits of shading on all those beads *g*

Ooh, fantastic, I love the way the beads stand out against the monotone skin. This is a really great piece! Well deserving of the Mod's Choice! Excellent and really interesting... I could look at it for a very long time, trying to figure it all out and how you did it 12
