| 9 Sep 2005 | Heather Emelin Graham | Loading...Hello Emelin, Out of curiousity I put my middle name - and preferred name - in the search engine and up came your name! I had no idea there were other Emelins out there! Do you know anything about the origins of our name? I know there is a theatre by our name in Westchester, N.Y. and a poet by our name (though spelled Emelyn) from the 1800s in England. Otherwise, I am left to assume it is Gaelic, as my family is from England, Wales and Scotland. I also enjoyed your art very much. I go into schools for the gifted and perform as a faerie with a troupe of players who are elves, birds, dancers, egyptians, imaginary friends...all to encourage creativity and spirituality, that connectness children feel and are later discouraged from feeling. Faeries got me through an abusive childhood. As an adult I still have them all over my house. I hope very much to hear back from you. Heather Emelin Graham golightlymuse@aol.com Thank you Emelin! Emelin Agnethe Melaa replies: "Hi yes I found out Emelin means "hard working" I'm sorry to say I can't remember where it originally came from.. " | |
