Doh! My first comment got snagged! Just wanted to drop a note. I've read through half of chapter four so far. Am definitely enjoying the read. However, work doth beckon. So, I'll leave individual comments later.

Congrats on the Mods! I'll be back... *yep that's a threat*

:-) Kristin Willoughby replies: "Comment from the Writer: Are you threatening me? Hehe. Thank you so much for reading! It really means a lot to me. I'm actually heavily editing these chapters, so (hopefully) soon they will be replaced with the newer (better?) versions. I'm actually further on in the story (page 150-ish), and I'm at that point where I have a firm grasp of the characters and what I want to do with them. So the editing is for smoothing out consistencies and making things better. Whenever the edited stuff gets uploaded, please read! I don't plan on giving up on this story anytime soon. Again, thanks for your encouragement!"

I'm going to bookmark you so I can return and actually ;readt;...as opposed to taking up Main Page Comment Space...heh...
Welcome to the 'woods! I'll assume you're a newbie 'cos you've no comments ^_^ [offers basket full of dark chocolate goodies]

I have to say I was a bit amused by your profile. Two things I myself plan on doing before grad school: JET Programme and Peace Corps. Also, i'm currently a Japanese Language Minor...[insert electrified Twilight Zone music]
Pesto is amazing, isn't it? Ever had a pesto bagel?
Sorry, I'll stop being random and creepy now... ^_~

Anyhoo, welcome to the 'woods! If i'm not back in a month feel free to come and prod me, yes? [intrigued by the story -- doesn't normally attempt Long Stories]

:-) Kristin Willoughby replies: "Comment from the Writer: Hello new friend, and thanks for the welcome! ^-^ Isn't pesto amazing? But I've yet to try a pesto bagel...that will be next on my list for sure. Thanks for bookmarking me! I've actually been heavily editing what I have up, so soon (hopefully) I will be replacing these chapters with the newer (better?) versions. When that happens, please read! (Or don't...it's not like I can make you, haha.)Peace out!"

Wonderful job! Keep up the good work on so wonderful and original a story!

:-) Kristin Willoughby replies: "Comment from the Writer: Thanks for the encouragement! After I upload the the edited versions of these stories, the story will pick up the pace and hopefully give you something more interesting to read. When that happens, please continue reading! I like to think that it'll be worth your while, but that's just me being conceited. 12 Thanks again!"

Hello and congrats on getting a Mod's on your first ticket! I like the story you have here (even if I did leave a few nitpicks on the comments) and I hope you enjoy it on Elfwood as much as I do. Just a friendly tip: A great way to get lots of comments on your shelf is to leave a trail of comments as you browse Elfwood. It really works!

:-) Kristin Willoughby replies: "Hey Heidi! I can't stress how much I appreciate the comments you've left me. It really did make my day! And I welcome all nitpicks! It lets me know what I'm doing right or wrong. My philosophy on writing is that it's a process; I know that my writing is still "green", so to speak, and that I won't peak for many years (maybe until I'm 30, 40, or later). But I'm content with that. I feel that as long as I'm making an effort to improve my writing and strive to become better, that is a good thing, and what a better way to get feedback than to ask others about their opinions? So please, nitpick away. 2

Thanks for the tip! I fully intend to start getting more involved here, because I love writing and love to help others with their writing as well. It's just that I'm an overworked college student and often find myself short on time. But I'll try to make the effort to comment on others!"

So where's chapters 6 and 7? I bet they got rejected by the Mods. *dances around in frustration* Anyway I'm going to read Chapter 5.

:-) Kristin Willoughby replies: "Comment from the writer: Yeah, they got rejected because I incorrectly blocked a couple of swears (didn't use little ** to block the entire thing), sigh. I resubmitted them and hopefully they'll be up soon! Oh, and thanks for tagging me as a favorite, it means a lot ^-^"
