I like the warmth that you feel in this one. The colors work quite nicely.

Oh, I like this one very much, especially the colors and the cat.

You SO deserve more comments.

I love the whole pic but the highlighting you've managed to get onto the cat's fur is stunning. Black cats are just not made for painting by mere mortals - you have to have a special 'I can paint cats' gene I think. lol

:-) Michelle R. Parker replies: "Thanks. It helps that this cat looks a lot like mine that I had for 15 years. I had plenty of opportunity to watch the way his fur looked in different lights. But it also doesn't hurt that I LOVE to paint cats. 2"

I think I can smell smoss... Great colours in this one, very foresty and I love that, I mean, who doesn't love the forest? The woman is also very beautiful in an intresting way - not in that boring everything-is-perfect kind of way. Yeah... an other fantastic drawing, and in watercolour, I love watercolours, so that makes me like it more.

awwwwww! a cat! awww, so cute! is that an american short-hair?... ok, ok! i'll stop... this is great! you are truly very skilled. the green background is really good! it really gives a sorta "forest" impression. the only thing I can nitpick on is the face... it looks a BIT weird...

:-) Michelle R. Parker replies: "The model for the cat was one that I adopted long ago from an organization that rescues abandoned pets. So he was probably just a mixed breed "mutt" but a real sweetheart.I gotta agree with you on the face. I'm used to making solid details with colored pencil, and that usually helps to make the face more balanced and realistic, but it was important to me that this was ONLY watercolor. So it's not the best, but I think it came out pretty passable. The quality of light in this makes up for the flaws, and I consdier it successful, if not perfect. Hopefully the nect piece I do in only watercolor will work out more realistically."
