Im a dane with a longstanding interest in Norse mythology and I think that this is a wonderful piece. I especially like the spiraling symbols you have added, but one small thing disagrees with me...
The Raven is beautiful, but Hugin and Munin - Odin's Ravens were by the common man often affiliated with impending disaster (or misfortune) or a death in the family. They were the link between Valhalla and the land of men (Midgaard) but they were not per se regarded as a friend of man, on the contrary, the characteristic "Caw" was often interpreted as a mocking laughter.
I applaud your skills in making this picture...I would have loved tho if the raven had some more sinister ominous feel to it...
GREAT ART! *Hats off to you* | |
