Whatever critter they're fighting sure looks nasty... you did a really great job on this, it looks like something you'd see in a role-playing handbook or a comic (yes, I know people have mentioned that before).

Werner Mueck replies: "Thank you. Yeah, she does look like she's about to say something that starts with a "shhhh" sound. There's something about her head that always bothered me and I haven't figured it out yet. If I stared at it long enough I probably could but I hate staring at my own work like that after it's been finished for a while Then again, I wouldn't go making any changes if I did figure it out."

That front girl looks like my summer camp counciller...the resemblance is startling. The back girl's head was a little to short on the top, I think. (y'know, eyes are supposed to be halfway down) but other than that, great pic.

I notice it's been two years since you mentioned there was something about her head that bothers you, so probably these observations are old news. But I was curious what you meant (my initial impression was she looked fine), so I stared at her a while trying to find flaws. And I found some. (But, then, I can find flaws looking in the mirror - what was god thinking?)
Anyway, it looks like her head-band stops at her temple. Hair can drape over a band, sure, but it looks here more as if the band is just ends there. Also, possibly her jaw is long - I'm not sure because of the perspective and the shading. Normally I like stark shading, and the crystal light lends itself to that very well (and is very cool, to boot), but the drawback is that lesser shading is lost, and I think her face looks a little flat without it.

I love the way you drew the figures, they look a little like comic book characters. But it looks like the spiky plant thing is twisting one girl's nipple. i dont know if you intended that or not.
