The pose is from a photo reference book. I didn't know if wings were enough to make her fantasy so I added antennae and a fantasy/woodland style outfit. She was drawn on the same 8 1/2 x 11 sheet as the Centaur Woman.

I love this! I've never seen that type of shading on a face before. It looks great. Her position is so 'let-your-hair-down' too and her expression is very mischievious. I have my doubts about her claims to the title lady though!

Kool pic, you might want to lighten the shaddow on her face a bit, and lengthen the neck.. Nice shading tho, and the hair came out very well

I love her hair. Sorry but I'm not crazy about the pose, she looks like she's in a Shout detergent commercial.

:-) Werner Mueck replies: "Can't please everybody, so why try, huh? Like I said before, I'd be happier w/ it if I had come up w/ the pose w/o needing photo reference."

Great lines, great shadows, exquisite anatomy. I dare say this is the one I love most of your works presented here.

:-) Werner Mueck replies: "You can please some people though, hehe..."

Hey!! This is fabulous, as all of your work is. I really like the sense of extreme joy in this picture, as if she is so happy she could just...I dunno. Something extreme. 1 Anyways, the one thing that could be changed, (well, not changed, but better) is her leg closest to us. The calf (sp?) should be behind her thigh, unless her lag is twisted outwards, and that is really uncomfortable, for one and a pretty hard position to get into too. Funny how I know so much about anatomy when I can't draw it...lol. Who am I to complain?? There you go...I'm not! Anyways, just for that one thing, this is an EXCELLENT piccy! 1 Love the hair too!

:-) Werner Mueck replies: "You'd be suprised what you know about the look of things even when you can't draw it. If you can get that pencil control, you're there. Anyway, you're probably right about the calf. I can't really say if the photo I used as reference had it that way or not. What I can say is if you jump up in the air, the time spent in this position would be so small you probably wouldn't even notice discomfort unless you really wrenched the leg to the side. I do know I won't be jumping up in the air to find out right now, too tired."

Honestly, the dark face, the joyous pose, the dark curly hair, the tribal looking outfit this fairy looks African! If you made her skin darker and her wings kind of an elaborate african print...maybe leopardish...Wow that would be an awesome eye catcher. Don't get me wrong. The pose is very fairy-ish/like and it's already an amazing drawing. It's just an idea.
