| 30 Jan 2002 | Thatoneguy | I dont know about everyone else, or how he intended the bio, but i read it off as a joke and i dont see why everyone is taking it so seriously. Goodness people loosen up, your times measured by 'nows' and now doesnt give much room for complaining if you want it worth anything. Just try help yourself by helping others.
And tim--you got the passion and thats all you need, art is whatever you make of it your practicing to get better and thats alot more than what a lot of people in life do. Keep up the good work.
| 30 Jan 2002 | Lauren A. Banks | First off, congrats on being artist of the day! As far as your art goes, I think that the quality is fine for your age. I like the “Some Kid” pic the best. >^_^< K, now please don’t take offense, but perhaps you might want to think about making your bio sound a bit less…egotistical. I mean, if you don’t mind the rude comments (I read them, and some of them are rather foul, but hey, people can be immature sometimes) then by all means keep the bio. However, if you want them to stop, then perhaps you shouldn’t blatantly state that you have “an advanced IQ” regardless if you do or not. It sounds rather conceited, no? Also, the style that you have written your main bio in comes across as being supercilious and stuffy. Rewriting it in a looser, friendlier style would allow people to accept you more readily. Alright, I said my bit. I really don’t know you, and you could either be the next Einstein or the village idiot. I really don’t care either way. I just hope you won’t take any offense to this (as none is meant). I am simply trying to offer you a possible solution to the comment problem, so mull it over, and keep up the good work!!! ~_^ | |
| 30 Jan 2002 | Anony Mouse | Agreeing with mr 1 and the person making the remark about "..ability to learn, not how smart you are..", you really shouldn't put airs, unless you back it up with art. THAT, ill listen to. You have been challenged!
Oh...by the way... congratz on being person of the day (: lefty!
| 30 Jan 2002 | Gina Schroeder | After reading all of the comments by all of the people, I figured I would put my two cents in. First off, this shouldn't even be a controversy. Who cares what Tim thinks? Seriously, if he wanted a site on elfwood, he obviously wanted the comments. Second, He has some things he could improve upon to make his art realistic, or even of a higher quality. Obviously he has an ego, but that's not necessary o be a great artist. You need to __IMPROVE__ constantly to be great. Avoid stagnation. That's all. Keep at it, kid. | |
| 30 Jan 2002 | Jessica Vincent | Congrats on artist of the day! I'll admit, your art isn't great...yet. But you do have alot of potential. Study the world around you and look at people to help your art. Look at other people's art and maybe try some tutorials, but most of all-that which has been mentioned everywhere a million times-PRACTICE! BTW, is Amtgard what you were talking about? I used to do that, I've been planning to go back one of these days. Ahh...good memories. | |
| 31 Jan 2002 | Caitlin 'Maysun' Corbett | Nice work you have here!! I'd like to see more in the future. ^_^ | |
| 22 Jun 2004 | Shulinzibui | How do you get so many comments?![note to self, state age and act overly confident if i ever get around to being an elfwood artist | |
