I like the arms but they are a bit too long and the sword looks good. Keep it up and thanks for commenting on my page come back sometimes since I am getting alot more put up on it. Melissa L. Withington replies: "I see what you mean about the various posing and anatomical problems. I did have my younger brother pose for me, but he kept getting tired and couldn't keep still the whole time, so it was hard getting everything right. Working with models is definitely something I want to improve on."

The style you use is very similar to mine and I too like to use a live model for reference. I think it gives the drawing a feeling of 'realness' and dynamics. I think that's also what made me comment on this picture. So I think you're heading the right way by choosing to work with models! Melissa L. Withington replies: "Thank you! I'll definitely keep working on getting my proportions right."

It especially helped since he wanted me to get the essence of the character he made up down. I would do a quick sketch of him, he'd come and look at it and say, "No, it's more like this," and then he'd try again. He's a lot of fun."

Only I forgot, he was facing the opposite direction wasn't he? I'd love to see some of the pictures from your SIP on here - they're fantasy, right? Melissa L. Withington replies: "That's right; I need to put those up here. Thanks for the suggestion!"
