| 16 Oct 2002 | Lucia E. Brea | Loading...Nice it looks kinda real! Melissa L Withington Whitford replies: "Thank you! I like it when my drawings look realistic. I don't usually have the patience to color and shade my drawings, but I like the effect when I do." | |
| 22 Nov 2002 | Adam Hunt | Loading...This picture is SO good, you have major talent! *grumbles* Oh well, I can't be the best with people like you around, ggrrrrrr..... ah, keep up the good work! Melissa L Withington Whitford replies: "To tell you truthfully, I wish I could draw this well when using a real model like the one I did of my brother. This drawing was pretty much copied from a picture, which could be seen as a cop-out (I just altered the colors and some of the clothing). It's fun to do anyway, and I'm glad you like it. Only don't be jealous; just keep drawing! Besides,I've just looked at your gallery, and your people are pretty good!" | |

| 3 Nov 2003 | Lauren 'Kitty' Carlson | Loading...Wow.. she is pretty.. good job..Not much to say.. i dont see anything wrong.. maybe a background of some sort? Melissa L Withington Whitford replies: "I'm not sure if I'll go back to this drawing, but when my brother used it as a CD cover, he gave it a plain gray background, and it looked pretty good." | |
| 30 Nov 2003 | Tabitha Higgins | Loading...That's so very good. Your talent is so very visible. I'm sure you'll go places. Great job. I don't know about the gentile woman thing. There's really only one Gentile Woman you know, and that doesn't really look like her. Maybe she could be a Mormon Wife. Melissa L Withington Whitford replies: "Oh, no. Not the Gentile Woman and Mormon Wife thing again. For those of you who have no idea who those people are, neither of them is me; they are nicknames for two of my very goofy friends! " | |

| 17 Jan 2005 | Rian Sanderse | Loading...I like the idea of a silver skin. Maybe you can give it a more silver glow (don't ask me how, I wouldn't know) I like the outfit and the hair as well. Love Rian Melissa L Withington Whitford replies: "That's an interesting idea. Though I'm through with this picture, I may try it on something else." | |

| 2 Sep 2008 | David Michael | Loading...Great concept, and yes, the colors do go together very well. At first glance, before the eye has really digested the pic, it looks like a rough, poorly-textured sketch; but then I noticed how well done the figure is, how lifelike the expression on her face, how I could almost feel the waves of her hair. It is a surprisingly pleasing picture to look at. Melissa L Withington Whitford replies: "I think I see what you mean; I used colored pencils to color my pictures because they’re easy to come by and easy to use, but I’m not always good at getting them to color evenly. It might help if I made my pictures larger - the picture on the screen is just as large as the picture that I drew, so there’s not much room for fine-tuning details (especially when I get lazy about sharpening my pencils ). Thanks for taking time to get past the rough stuff and seeing something good in this picture. " | |
