SciFi and Fantasy Art A Day in the Pasture by Miriah Bruce


	This was inspired by Piers Anthony's Apprentice Adept series. For those of you who haven't read the series, the unicorns in that realm are multicolored. I like doing some pastoral scenes, so I thought I would throw this in.

They're in a pasture, have a few grazing or laying down! I love the background btw! I really wanna try Photoshop sometime! I've never had it! Good job! Anyways, I have read the books many times and just adore how the unicorns in those boks can play music with their horns, and have acrobatic abilities. Personally I think you should draw more of these pictures.. I know I would definatly comment Miriah Bruce replies: "Unfortunately, I can never look movement look right. I think it's the gravity points and the musculature that throws me off."
30 Jun 2003	Hope Hubris	Loading... Wahay! i just typed in 'piers anthony' on the off chance that someone had been inspired enough by the adept series to draw some pics. Good on you! I reckon you should draw a few more! Miriah Bruce replies: "I would really like to draw Lady Blue, Sheen or Style eventually. Or Neysa."

It seems like a bit of a thin line, and you did great! Also, I love the purple one, too! Miriah Bruce replies: "There's nothing wrong with my little ponies, though But I did want it to look more realistic than anything else Thanks for the comment "
11 May 2004	Cbrist	Loading... -Gasp- Wow! I absolutely love the coloring! Beautiful. I may have to put this in a tour... Do you mind? Miriah Bruce replies: "Yes you certainly may!"
13 Oct 2004	Annette M. Burke	Loading... They are right, the horses do look stiff, but they have good form. Did you use references for this one or did you do them freehand? I like the colors, and the smaller details like using the color of the mane in the fetlocks. Miriah Bruce replies: "I did have a reference, actually, especially for the musculature. In the Apprentice Adept books, the unicorn's socks can be removed, which I assume would include the fetlocks."
22 Aug 2005	Annwn	Loading... Stiff? I suppose there's some instances; but as for posing? no way, the horse tushie pointed right at the camera give the thought of caught on camera. A sight rarely seen sort of feel to it.
