The lips are too full and are at an angle that doesn’t seem to fit the profile. The shape of the eye is also a little strange. Also, when viewed in profile, the pupil of the eye will appear more vertical rather than round. And lastly, the ear isn’t position quite right. It should start at eye level, but here it starts at the cheekbone. I hope you don’t mind the critique. Keep on practicing! Heather Alycia LaPeer replies: "Thank you so much for your tips! The lips were intentional, I don’t really see the angle problem, but the fullness was desired. Thanks so much for your tips on the eye! The pupil idea is excellent, I’ll remember that. I tried to make the eye shape unique and mildly ethereal, but now I find it a little off also. I wonder about the ear though. clearly it is taller than the average ear, but most of my models and friends ears start at the cheekbone level, is this an artistic technique? I wonder if you could clarify, which would be great. Thanks so much for all the useful advice!" | |
