Tag As FavoriteComment		My sister is studing English literature at university. For her degree she had to study the old English ledgend Beowulf. This picture shows her favorite scene in the story. It is a very large sketch done on A3 paper. So it took me a very loooong time! Here is a quotaion from the Seamus Heany translation: 'Then...The fire-breathing dragon was mad to attack for a third time. When chance came, he caught the hero in a rush of flame and clamped sharp fags into his neck. Beowulf's body ran wet ewith his lifes-blood.... Next thing, they say, the noble son of Weohstan saw the king in danger at his side and displayed his inborn bravery and strength.... He lunged at the enemy lower downin the belly so that is decorated sword sank into its belly and the flames grew weaker.' The picture shows Wiglaf (son of Weohstan) just when he stabs the dragon and Beowulf is the old man on the floor, don't worry he is still alive and eventually gets up and slices the dragon in half. Enjoy!

This is the most "powerful" picture of a dragon that I´w seen on this whole website (which wont say little) Just "censur" increddible!! wow girl I love your picture and would love to get an answer on my Email...BIG fan!

This is acctully the first pic i ever saw in elfwood cos we were doin a project on beowulf and i needed a pic of him fightin da dragon and it came up with this website!
