And even with the half drawn sketch of a dull elf, Nancy manage to really bring LOTS of character to it by adding such a well organized emotional coloured scheme to it. ^_^ She did really well with the description as well. Thanks Nancy! Nancy Lavoie replies: "I should be the one who is thanking you Kris. Without you ''terribly drawn skecth'' there will be no coloring and no improvment. I wil color you gollum eventually, but I keep it for when I'll be better, to get a mod choice out of it just like you did!. 'Till then, I will re-work this one and maybe trya change of color to get the right feeling. Thank you again ."

I'm not really sure why, though; I think it's probably because the colour scheme matches so well, with the colours on the woman being just ever-so-slightly brighter and darker than the ones on the photograph so that elf stands out while still blending in. And the glow she has is really subtly done, and, I think, quite effective. One thing which I don't like about this picture is that the elf's left upper arm is so much longer than her right upper arm. Comparing this to the original drawing, I can see why it was done, though, seeing as the original drawing leaves the left arm trailing off into nothingness, which really wouldn't be appropriate in this coloured version. In order to avoid having to draw the rest of the arm, though, I think maybe it should have been cut off higher up, at the same level as the right arm. And the elbow really should be more pointy, I think, although it was a good idea to keep it this round, since the right elbow is also rounded like that. The shading on the left elbow I really like. Where I think the shading could be improved a bit is on the back. I think the line in the lower part of her back is maybe just a little too dark? Or, maybe it just needs to be blended into the whinteness on its left a bit more. The upper darker line beside her neck sticks out a bit too much too, I think also because it's right beside a spot of near-white instead of being shaded into it a bit more. I think the draping of the dress and its shading is very well done. The only problem I see, which is slight, is the fact that, where the dress touches her back, it's sort of angular, instead of smoothly curved like it is in the original drawing. I don't computer-colour, myself, so I don't know what causes this or how it can be fixed. It's hardly noticeable, anyway. Anyhow, I do like the overall serenity of this picture. Nancy Lavoie replies: "You don't iknow how much you make me happy here. This is the first time I get a total complete constructive critism. You can be sure I will follow your advices and work some more on it so it shall be perfect . I need to re-install photoshop (my cpu crahed) but as soon as it wil be done I won't get any sleep until it's perfect . Thank you again"
