June 17, 2004: When I saw this picture, I thought it exactly represented the way I wanted my character to look!! I'm so happy I've been able to color it.

Thanks to A. Whitney who had given me the authorization to display it. You can see the black and white version Here and her work Here

This is really really good. I like the way you coloured her skin. Her clothes are really cute to! ^_^ Outstanding!

2 Nancy Lavoie replies: "Thanks you very much 2 I really put efforts for them to look realistic.. I'm happy it does."

*sighs* wow.
The colouring is just...amazing. I wish I could computer colour stuff. Don't suppose you've ever considered writing a tutorial for computer colouring?

1 Nancy Lavoie replies: "Yup 2. In fact, I already wrote a simple one for my friend but maybe I could do some to help other people. I'll think of it, Thanks for the idea"

Great job- only thing I'd change is maybe the skin tone, I've always seen drow like, dark blues and purples but thats just me, it looks awesome ^_^

1 Nancy Lavoie replies: "Thanks... I can send you a modified copy with a different skin tone if you prefer."

I like the coloring on this a lot, Dont worry about the dark elves should be blue thing, to my knowledge its a pretty divded opinion. Her clothing has a really rich soft quality that fits really nicely with the way the artist styled it. The gold anklet looks great but might have used a bit more shine in it to draw some attention, but i guess that really depends on the light. Keep up the good work!

2 Nancy Lavoie replies: "Thanks a lot for the kind comment 2 The previous comment about the grey/blue thing is from the original artist. The fabric was teh easy part, but I must say that the *?&?&*(*(*# anklet give me a hard time, I let it like this in despair 2. Anyway, thanks again"

I just got back from the person who drew this works gallery and I took note of something rather interesting. This work is NOT of a female, though it sure seems to be. The artist insists and gets rather irritated about the fact people dont think its a guy. Im not sure if you knew that when you colored this work but I dont think anyone else here realized this is supposed to be a male character. Kind of disturbing...

16 Nancy Lavoie replies: "I must say (and maybe I'll get my partner irritated) that I though it was a girl when I colored it... The original artist changed the description to make more emphasis that it's a boy after I had colored it... it's embarassing but I also think that it does'nt matter that much. Life is made of perception. If you want to perceive a girl, fine 2 if you want to perceive a boy, fine too. Ass long as your perceptions dotn make it a baby dragon... it's fine 2"

I suppose you are right. Thats a good outlook to take. But Being a dude Ive still got to say the thing a dude does when he checks out a chic and comes to find out that it was never a chic at all...."What?!?No WAY!! YYEEEEECCHH!" Again you did a wonderful job, Great work =) =) =)

1 Nancy Lavoie replies: "HHAHAHHA, I must agree 14. I'm so glad you like what I'm doing... I'll write an email soon and go visit your gallery, I'm just soo much tired these times. But I won't forget you. Thanks a lot, all your comment are really really appreciated... I'm nearly looking everyday to see what comments you add 2"

If you do swing by my gallery come by http://ripperarcane.deviantart.com Ive got a lot more stuff posted there and when you submit something its uploaded and goes live immediately after you send it. In addition you can set friends and have notifications when they post new work, they track page views and you can set things as your favorite works. Deviant has journals and clubs, its very community like. If you join ill be glad to help you set up. I look forward to talking with you again. =)

1 Nancy Lavoie replies: "Hihihi, as you have seen, I'm already a member of DA. For my part, I dont upload stuff that often because I'm in some artist block. I hope to get out of it soon."
