Charcoal! Isn't charcoal a fun, messy medium? I like the shading on her hair, it's very nice ^-^

:-) Nancy Lavoie replies: "I really like charcoal but i'm only getting used to it. I need more practice and new charcoal sticks(I only have little bits left 14 ) I'll try to do more like these. I really like how it is easy to shade with this medium"

I have to say, this one is my favourite! I really like the rune-looking stuff on her cheeks and the expression in the eyes is beautiful! The hair makes the pic look a bit sad... which is a good thing.

hi...this pic is really good.I like working with charcol, it's good to shade from light to dark and stuff. I agree that you should do more like these...really good. I award you a gold star. :0)
