Silver Dragon

 

The darkness of night is calling me

the unending realm of my flight,

unfurling my wings, I leap into existence

 

Revelling in the cold dark heights,

with countless powerful wing beats,

I soar ever higher amongst the distant stars

 

The world that lies beneath me

the rigid spines of the mountains

fade to a half forgotten echo in my mind

 

Wings extended to the stars

defined by shimmering moonlight

I ride the currents of the sky and feel alive...

Silver dragon seems to me to be a free spirit soaring to its next destiny. Like a peaceful, departed soul; for, who could fly beyond something so grand as mountains and not give them a second thought? What but a spirit could reach for the limits of space and be so unafraid? Going astral, you say? Have you ever tried anything like that? O_o

All the same I'm happy to illicit any interpretation of my work, 'cause it means someone actually read it! And comments often inspire me to write something else or revise what I have. I do appreciate your input and do thank you for giving me ideas. B.t.w. I'm too chicken ~rolls eyes~ to be very successful at moving through the astral plane but my daydreamers imagination certainly does a good job at compensating!"
