That's one of those pictures that I first drew years ago, then some months later I re-did it, and re-did again... just for the pleasure of drawing that subject while listening at the same song everytime (Chop-Suey - System of a Down).

Some weeks ago, I did it again, and that's the result. What do you think about it??

(you can find the older version somewhere on the gallery, search "Chopsuey-1")

-sorry for the bad quality, I had to resize it to be able to upload it, and it lost lots of detail-

I really like this picture. Its full of emotion and the setting is very well done. I'm not sure about he light cast by that window in the back though. It makes the perspective look a little weird (the couple at the back seem to be on a raised platform - or is it meant to be that way?) I didn't think the graffiti was a problem, I mean graffiti does stand out like that, because of the spray paint used, plus the rain would make it clearer, a bit. Well done, good work! 2

21 Aida Vicens replies: "Umm... the couple in the background is on the sidewalk, and it's a little raised, but not much... Anyway, the window light (as the shadows in it) were a late addition to this pic, so I suppose that can be seen here... Thanks for the comment!!"

I feel a sense of loneliness about this picture--not just in the rain, but in the angel's separation from the couple in the background by a dingy alley... but maybe the rain will wash all that away.
The atmosphere is good, and I particularly like how you have done the transparency of her clothes, they indeed look wet. In terms of crit, I find that the graffiti stands out a bit too much (especially the red one on the left) considering that they're on walls that are in shadows. The garbage can also looks a bit odd, as if it a solid cylinder rather than empty.
Overall, very nicely done ^_^

:-) Aida Vicens replies: "*looks menacingly to garbage can* Yup, it does looks weird. I'll try to fix it, if I can, as well as the graffitti... Thanks for the comment!"

Wow, awesome. I love how the wings are transparent! The whole thing is just beautiful and sad. I love it. And I love that song!

11 Aida Vicens replies: "That song is wonderful... Glad you like it! (both the picture and the song lol)"

Hum - I do not have to say anything else - everything I thought about this picture, like very well done wet seeming clothes and transparent wings, is said...

So you have to hear once again - well done job, I like this picture very much. And it is a splendid idea: Using the contrast of the white, shining angel figure against the dark, dirty background walls... I love it!

11 Aida Vicens replies: "Thanks! It means a lot to me that people like this one as much as I do, it makes me feel "important" lol. Thanks for commenting, and I'm glad you like it!"

I like the transparent wings and the rain. I was trying to draw rain recently on one of my computer pics and I gave up in despair so well done.

2 Aida Vicens replies: "Drawing rain with the computer can be a severe pain in the ***... But don't despair, it ends up looking like rain, sometime. Anyway, thanks for your comment!"
