'The creature’s form was now complete! Light seemed to have faded completely and the candle by the window was extinguished as if by a dark hand. The wind grew fierce, rattling the shutters of the farmhouse. Black rain started to fall lashing against the windows. The house was suddenly rocked by an almighty crash as a huge thunderclap shook the foundations of the house. The farmer’s wife and Clara both screamed, and as Clara’s mother and father rushed to Clara’s side, the house was illuminated by a blinding flash as fork lightening crashed to the ground splitting a nearby tree in two, and flames leapt from its broken body. Clara and her parents could hear the sound of evil laughter carried by the wind. Once again the house was illuminated, but this time the lightening hit the house and destroyed part of the kitchen, starting a fire. Clara’s mother fainted as Clara’s father rushed to try and stop the fires progress. Clara knelt by her fallen mother and looking up at the sky through the hole in the roof, amid blinding tears she screamed aloud, ‘Please! Someone help us!’ The cries of this innocent young child did not go unnoticed. Through her haze of tears Clara could see a pure light beginning to grow in the northern side of the sky. And as the light grew, so did the shape of a heavenly warrior. A Lord of Light, answering the child’s plea. As his form took shape, Clara could see long flowing golden hair and deep blue eyes and a noble face conveying a pure heart and soul. Clara felt her fear subsiding. His armour was silver and in his right hand he held a long sword and in his left a shield emblazoned with a unicorn’s head.'

This is the second image and the second part of the story, 'Night of the Storm', written by me! This image was created using coloured pencils.  - The rest of the images (apart from the 'Lord of Light' image), have since been destroyed, but as I like this and and the Lord of light image, I've decided to keep them up... hope you like :D

Please please please do more warriors and knights and stuff this is amazing. After reading the last one you did i was quite looking forward to seeing this and boy am i not disapointed. The shading in the colour is breathtaking the firey sword refecting off the armor is brillant. I allways try and give costructive criticum (sp?) as i found its helped me so much since i'v joined elfwood but i cant fault a single thing on here. Words can not express how much i love this picture.

14 Natalie Anne Harrison replies: "Jeez! Why haven't I replied to stuff for so long? Gosh darn it! Thanks for the wonderful comment you've left. I'm really glad you like my picture, haven't got any ideas for warriors at the moment, but when I do, it will be up on my page!"

The lighting is wonderful - atmospheric and dramatic - while the shading is beautifully done. The dark/light contrast adds to the drama. The flow of the cape is perfect!
