This is the symbol of the Mystic Elves. It tracks the stages of the moon... as the Mystic Elves did for use in their magic and elven rites... the triangle is for the elements, fire, air, and water, (no earth, as they did not believe in earth as an element)...
The original design is by Kristie K Tatton, I just put it into celtic knotwork...

needs cleaned up a bit (i.e. smudges erased, drawn on a paper w/o a grid) but this is amazing! Few have quite this talent for celtic knots 19)

Do you have gel pens? I think it would look great to see this recreated on black paper 19)Hrm... I do think that I have one or two gel pens lying around, mabye white gel pen, on black paper? 5 Thanks for the comment.

This is awesome!! It's so hard to create the whole celtic knot thing. It must have taken forever!

:-) Natalie Jo Bagby replies: "Thank you for your comments, Star To Be. This one took me about 3 days, if I recall correctly. I like knotwork though, so it was worth it. "

oooh! This one's good. I love triangles! Love the pattern too.

:-) Natalie Jo Bagby replies: "Thank you for your comment, Michele. My favorite part is the moon phases."

This is absolutely beautiful. I can't believe that you actually drew something this magnificent. Stunning, absolutely stunning.

:-) Natalie Jo Bagby replies: "Thank you for your comments, Nave. I still have a hard time believing I did this one, sometimes."

Wow, this is great for I know to do knotworks takes time and patience. {I can never seem to get the knack of it}. The smudges do take a little of it away, but you get that with pencil and there is nothing you can do about it. I think with a black background like the night sky with silver, metalic shades of gel pens would really make this stand out.

:-) Natalie Jo Bagby replies: "Thank you for your comments, Rachel. I really like your idea of putting it on a black background with silver lines."

Woa! This is so intricate! It looks so perfect! Great job!!

:-) Natalie Jo Bagby replies: "Thank you for your comments, BluFaerie. I'm happy that you like my picture. "
25 Nov 200245 I AM The Cheese
Looks like a combination of all the Dungeons & Dragons + all the Zelda symbols combined. (I didn't mean that offensively!)

Besides that, great job! You should do more like this one!

:-) Natalie Jo Bagby replies: "Thank you for your comment, Cheese. I really like Zelda, and Dungeons and Dragons are alright. 2"

:-) Natalie Jo Bagby replies: "Thank you for your comments, CKT. It just takes practice, is all."
