This is a wyrm based on a viper I liked the look of. I'm pleased with how it came out.
Drawn with mechanical pencil. Finished in January of 2002. Posted on February 21, 2002. My scanner sucks.

Hey...your I like your sketch. It looks very unique. I also like the way that it has like zig-zags down the center of it's body.

:-) Natalie Jo Bagby replies: "Thank you for your comments, Darrian. I'm happy with how this one turned out. The head came from a picture of a Viper."

Damn .. You have extremely good talent, and I love it, how I came upon this art is sorta funny... I was looking for names (elfin) and this all came onto my screen so i took the time to gaze upon it all and it is outstanding, I was going to get your permission first.. may I use this for my Tattoo?.. lol I'm someone who loves snakes and dragons and when I saw this Viper/Dragon.... I was like OMG gotta ask her if I may use it.
So I'll leave my email and can you get back to me ASAP?.. lol thank you and KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!!!

I say shade it. Anything can always use some more shading.

This is awesome. Very well designed. You do good with the curves of the snake (some people don't make it look like there is any muscle). Good Job.

:-) Natalie Jo Bagby replies: "Thanks for the comments, Joshua. I've not done very many 'wyrms', most of my dragons aren't snake-like at all. I've never really drawn a snake before, but I think the reason I do the curves well is because if you look at a snake, they're not perfectly round. Admittedly, mine could use a bit more more muscle tone. What do you think, should I give him a bit more tone with shading?"
