He hummed around, hanging in midair. Looking trough eyes not of his own he complained to himself how unlucky he was to found himself in this position.
He was a prince after all, and being cursed was one thing. But being turned into a mere fly, that was just dishonourable!
Buzzing and cursing to himself he flew over to the ceiling to relax and calm down.
He actually had to admit, there was a strange disguisting grace in te way his legs sucked themselves to the wall, making sure he wouldn't fall down.
If only he knew the way to turn himself back, he found himself thinking, he would know what to do....
I mean, I'm sure a princess isn't going to kiss me.
Even if she would, she'd probably kill me with it by accident.
No, if there was a way to get rid of this curse, most likely it would be in the book of the same wizard that did this to him. So naturally, thats where he was. Sticking to the ceiling of the ugly little wooden house Nariem called Home.
He was waiting for the wizard to leave so his curious apprentice, that never took a bath, would peek in his spellbook and turn the pages so the fly could read whatever was on them.
Luck was with him for once, for he need not wait long. When the door closed behind Nariem, the boy ran for the book straight away.
After several minutes reading and hearing the boy go Ooooh and aaah, he finally saw the solution!
It couldnt be this easy! That was it?!!! HA! Ofcourse he could drink the dew of a waterlilly!
In joy he buzzed out of the window to visit the little pond that was in front of the house. He spotted the pink and white flowers soon and descended on it.
He would be returned to his normal state!!
Then he could force the princess to kiss him as many times he liked! Ha! And He would give order to execute the wizard and his smelly apprentice.
Now was the day of his victory!
Suddenly a giant grotesk tongue stroked against his legs, and the fly didnt really have time to do anything about it.
"Ofcourse, I could be wrong" was the last thing that crossed his mind.
The frog sitting between the waterlillies was enjoying the first meal he had in days.
At first he was too disgusted to eat bugs and upset about the fact that he had been turned into a frog...
Ah well. Just have to wait for a princess to come by...
